Everyday life. In their words.

Stories from the CATLINK community.

Less daily scooping
Room to get comfortable
A closer view
Easier clean-ups

Straight into the routine.

“Neither cat needed an adjustment period or was frightened; they used it straight away.”

T**s · 19 Aug 2026

Pet acceptance: Neither cat needed an adjustment period or was frightened; they used it straight away. Space: Large enough. There is little smell so far. We previously used Pangbao and upgraded to the Pro, which also works very well.

T**s · 19 Aug 2026

One less daily chore.

“Most importantly, it saves me from daily scooping.”

Na**ya · 13 Sep 2026

My furry little one adapted quickly and went straight in. Full marks. Follow-up after six days: I could not wait to unpack it on arrival. Assembly was convenient, and the cat quickly started using it and was accustomed to it within two days. Various litter types work. Most importantly, it saves me from daily scooping.

Na**ya · 13 Sep 2026

Four cats. A closer view.

“Whenever the app notifies me, I want to see who is using it.”

Anonymous · 6 Sep 2026

We have four cats. With the previous Pangbao it was hard to tell which one had used the toilet. Switching to the Pro has been great! Whenever the app notifies me, I want to see who is using it. They all like it, and the litter-catching mat prevents large amounts of litter from flying out. Brilliant!

Anonymous · 6 Sep 2026

More homes. More perspectives.

Straight into the routine.

“Neither cat needed an adjustment period or was frightened; they used it straight away.”

T**s · 19 Aug 2026

A little less work.

“Cleaning is efficient and quiet and greatly reduces the workload.”

Anonymous · 30 Aug 2026

At this price, this CATLINK litter box lets me watch my pets using the toilet live in the app, making it excellent value. Cleaning is efficient and quiet and greatly reduces the workload. Odour control is better than the old model, and the open design gives the cats more freedom to move. I recommend it for multi-cat households.

Anonymous · 30 Aug 2026

Three cats, settling in.

“Our three cats adapted quickly and started using it within a day.”

x**g · 31 Aug 2026

After a long time deciding, I chose the Pangbao Pro. It is bigger than the Xiaobai I bought before, and the open design is easier to clean. The camera lets me quickly tell which cat has a problem. Although I saw many complaints online, I still trust CATLINK to keep improving its products and expect the new model to be better than the old ones. The official app offered a trade-in price of RMB 799, but my old unit still works, so I kept it as a backup. The official Taobao shop included a step, and I paid RMB 810, which felt worthwhile. Our three cats adapted quickly and started using it within a day.

x**g · 31 Aug 2026

Visits recorded. Work reduced.

“It cleans promptly and records toilet visits. Parts are easy to remove and reassemble, and maintenance is convenient.”

Xiao**guan · 9 Sep 2026

This automatic litter box makes life much easier! With several cats at home, I no longer need to scoop manually so often. It runs fairly quietly and does not frighten the cats. The entrance step catches excess litter and reduces scattering. The spacious compartment is comfortable for large and small cats. It cleans promptly and records toilet visits, making it easier to observe their health. It feels well made; parts are easy to remove and reassemble, and maintenance is convenient. Highly recommended for multi-cat households!

Xiao**guan · 9 Sep 2026

A closer look, every day.

“I can observe the cat’s urination and bowel movements daily, while the app also monitors weight and visit duration.”

Anonymous · 13 Sep 2026

I assembled it on the day it arrived, and the cat used it straight away. Assembly was extremely simple, with a clear instruction card included by the seller. I can observe the cat's urination and bowel movements daily, while the app also monitors weight and visit duration, so I can notice anything unusual quickly. After half a month, I have already given the drum and three-proof liner a simple clean. The liner is fine, and a cassava/tofu litter mix has not stuck. It saves both scooping and cleaning work!

Reassurance while away.

“When travelling for work, I can observe my cats’ toilet use and see them, which is reassuring.”

Gou**mi · 6 Sep 2026

I used another version for four years before switching to the Pangbao. It feels very good, without odours. When travelling for work I can watch the cat's toilet use and see the cat, which reassures me. Product quality: Quite good. Space: No problem for a 6.6 kg cat. Pet acceptance: Seems to like it? Litter containment: Almost no leakage, and a step was included.

Gou**mi · 6 Sep 2026

Check in from wherever.

“Remote viewing lets me check the cats’ toilet activity and feel reassured when away.”

Anonymous · 4 Sep 2026

After comparing several models, I chose CATLINK and am genuinely satisfied after some use. The interior is large enough for big cats to turn around comfortably. The splash-preventing step is thoughtful, with little litter scattered on the floor. Sensing is responsive, safety protection seems reliable, and odour control is good. Being able to check toilet activity remotely reassures me when away.

Anonymous · 4 Sep 2026

Their routine, in the app.

“App monitoring is practical: I can see my cat’s toilet data whenever I want.”

J**E · 5 Sep 2026

Its appearance is simple and elegant, and it seals well. The waste compartment is easy to empty without dirtying your hands. I strongly recommend it to other cat owners. It runs very quietly and does not scare timid cats. App monitoring is practical: I can see my cat's toilet data whenever I want. It feels very high-tech and has made cat care much more enjoyable.

J**E · 5 Sep 2026

See more of their routine.

“The camera makes it easier to observe my cat’s toilet use. The built-in weighing function is useful too.”

Cai**cai · 18 Aug 2026

I had been interested in Pangbao's spacious open design and ease of cleaning. The new Pro launched at just the right time with an added camera, making toilet monitoring easier. The built-in weighing feature is also useful. After assembly I added some old litter, and the cat switched seamlessly.

Cai**cai · 18 Aug 2026

Eight cats, one evening.

“Watching the playback, I saw that all eight cats had tried the box in one night.”

W**1 · 29 Aug 2026

The cats were very curious after assembly. Playback showed that all eight cats tried it in one night. I have not noticed any safety concerns so far. I previously thought the step was an unnecessary expense, but after fitting it I found it essential. The large waste drawer underneath makes the whole box fairly tall, while the front barrier is not very high. The step serves both as a small staircase and to collect litter the cats kick out.

W**1 · 29 Aug 2026

A remote look at daily life.

“The HD camera lets me check toilet activity remotely, and automatic cleaning is convenient.”

Ling**fen · 6 Sep 2026

It is spacious, without catching the cat's paws. The HD camera lets me check toilet activity remotely, and automatic cleaning is convenient. The materials feel good, the sealing is decent and odour control works well. The app is simple to use and saves work. Worthwhile for cat-owning households.

Ling**fen · 6 Sep 2026

A new perspective on my cat.

“Our cat switched seamlessly and is not frightened of it. The fisheye camera is adorable.”

Xiao**mi · 26 Aug 2026

Our previous automatic litter box constantly had litter sticking to the bottom. We have used this one for a week with no sticking at all. It suits our 11-jin cat, who switched seamlessly and is not frightened of it. The fisheye camera is adorable! I watch the cat using the toilet countless times a day—even the poo has close-ups. It provides lots of enjoyment.

Xiao**mi · 26 Aug 2026

The camera I was waiting for.

“The new Pro has a camera, so I can better observe my pet’s toilet use.”

F**~ · 30 Aug 2026

The new Pangbao Pro has a camera, so I can better observe my pet's toilet use. I wanted to switch to the first generation but it had no camera. The Pro finally fulfils that wish. Happy!

F**~ · 30 Aug 2026

More room for multiple cats.

“They really like the open design. I first bought the standard version, then changed it for the camera model.”

Anonymous · 25 Aug 2026

This is my second automatic litter box, and I love it. We have four cats, and I wanted to be able to go away for three or four days. After a long time considering it, I chose CATLINK because we have a large cat and the original enclosed box was a bit cramped. They really like the open Pangbao and somewhat neglect the old one now. Multi-cat households should buy the camera version directly: I first bought the standard version, then changed it for the camera model, perhaps because I am used to checking their toilet use. Both of mine are high-spec versions. The older one has been very stable for over a year; I hope they stay with us for several more years.

Anonymous · 25 Aug 2026

One less daily chore.

“Most importantly, it saves me from daily scooping.”

Na**ya · 13 Sep 2026

An easier routine.

“Automatic scooping and bagging keep my hands clean. There is plenty of space, it is easy to dismantle and wash, and I can see records in the app.”

C**2 · 7 Sep 2026

Much better than expected! Automatic scooping and bag packing keep my hands clean. There is ample room for the cat, it is easy to take apart and wash, and I can view records in the app. A great choice for lazy cat owners; I wish I had bought it sooner.

C**2 · 7 Sep 2026

An open design they accepted.

“We have used it for almost two weeks. The cat accepted the open design quickly, and the camera angle is adorable.”

Shui**ren · 3 Sep 2026

I have used it for almost two weeks and think it is quite good. The cat quickly accepted the open design, and the camera angle is cute. I will add a follow-up when the kitten grows into a big fat cat.

Shui**ren · 3 Sep 2026

Space to feel comfortable.

“The wider front gives my cat more room, and the upgraded camera is great.”

Jiu**h · 2 Sep 2026

Pet acceptance: The cat really likes it. Space: The front has been widened, giving more room for toilet use. Product quality: The camera upgrade is great.

Jiu**h · 2 Sep 2026

Two days to settle in.

“After two days of adjustment, the cat started using it voluntarily. We use tofu litter plus mixed litter, and it is quite compatible.”

Anonymous · 20 Aug 2026

I had been watching this Pangbao automatic litter box for a long time and ordered as soon as the camera Pro version appeared. I was initially very worried that our cat would not accept it. Following the instructions, I put old litter in the new box. After two days of adjustment, the cat started using it voluntarily. We use tofu litter plus mixed litter, and it is quite compatible. It saves much effort, and I am very satisfied overall.

Anonymous · 20 Aug 2026

Room to turn around.

“Our largest cat weighs 6 kg and fits just right, with room to turn and reposition. Cats accept the open design easily.”

Yi**9 · 20 Aug 2026

We already have a first-generation unit and planned to buy another. The second generation launched at just the right time at a good price, so I bought it. Our largest cat weighs 12 jin and fits just right, with room to turn and reposition. The experience is good. Cats accept the open design easily: they used the first generation immediately on arrival, and the second was an even more seamless switch. Overall it is good, with strong after-sales support too. This is not a one-off purchase; both a good product and reliable support are needed to encourage repeat purchases.

Yi**9 · 20 Aug 2026

A smooth first visit.

“The cat knew how to use it as soon as it was placed at home and was not scared.”

a**o · 25 Aug 2026

Space: Just right for my golden shaded cat. Pet acceptance: The cat knew how to use it as soon as it was placed at home and was not scared. Litter containment: Fine. I use mixed tofu and cassava litter; it does not waste much, and broken urine clumps filter normally. Most importantly, the cat's bottom finally stays dry when urinating, and it saves me work!

a**o · 25 Aug 2026

An upgrade with a view.

“The open space is suitable for large cats. Adding a camera in this update is important to me.”

Anonymous · 30 Aug 2026

There really is no bad smell after the cats use this litter box, and the home feels fresh. The open space suits large cats. Adding a camera in this update is quite important.

Anonymous · 30 Aug 2026

A little more time back.

“Our cats adapted quickly and started using it voluntarily. It really saves work.”

N**o · 14 Sep 2026

The user left no initial written review. Follow-up after 19 days: We have used it for a while. Our cats adapted quickly and go in voluntarily to use it. It really saves effort! No problems so far; I hope it keeps working this well.

N**o · 14 Sep 2026

Less effort, less litter waste.

“After using it for a while, I think it cleans well. The cats are not very resistant to it, and it uses litter economically.”

Anonymous · 20 Sep 2026

The user left no initial written review. Follow-up after 33 days: I have used the automatic litter box for a while and think it is quite good. Cleaning is reasonable, the cat is not particularly resistant, and it is economical with litter. Recommended!

Anonymous · 20 Sep 2026

Curiosity turned into comfort.

“The cat absolutely loves it and went straight to the toilet after assembly.”

Yun**yun · 29 Aug 2026

Huge! The cat absolutely loves it and went straight to the toilet after assembly. Highly recommended!

Yun**yun · 29 Aug 2026

Roomier. Easier to rinse.

“There is ample room for a large cat to turn around comfortably. It is easy to rinse clean.”

Yi**shi · 10 Sep 2026

The user left no initial written review. Follow-up after 17 days: The materials are thick and have no strange smell. There is ample room for a large cat to turn around comfortably. Raised barriers prevent litter scattering, with almost none tracked onto the floor. It is easy to rinse clean and offers excellent value. Recommended for cat-owning households.

Yi**shi · 10 Sep 2026

A familiar place, straight away.

“The step prevents litter from falling out. The cat learned to use it straight away.”

San**mo · 2 Sep 2026

The user left no initial written review. Follow-up after 43 days: It looks quite nice and is very solidly built—the whole thing is rather heavy. It also has a monitoring function, and the step prevents litter from falling out. The cat learned to use it straight away.

San**mo · 2 Sep 2026

A good fit for a multi-cat home.

“This one really suits multi-cat homes. It also stays very clean.”

Bu**1 · 2 Sep 2026

It works really well, and I give it a very positive review. I previously used a Pro X for two years. This one really suits multi-cat homes and is bigger than the Pro X. It also stays very clean. Amusingly, our younger cat apparently sleeps in the box after cleaning (the action is uncertain because the original contains a typo). People also say it is easy to wash; I will try that later.

Bu**1 · 2 Sep 2026

Less work, day by day.

“The cats learned to use it themselves within a few days, saving a lot of effort.”

Frequently asked questions.

Get to know Open-X Pro.

Still have a question?

What is the difference between Open-X and Open-X Pro?

Open-X Pro builds on the open-top, self-cleaning design of Open-X with camera-enabled visual care. You can check litter-box activity remotely and review what you see alongside your cat’s App records. Both models still require regular waste-bin emptying, litter refilling and cleaning.

Is Open-X Pro suitable for larger cats?

The open-top design gives cats more freedom to enter, turn around and lift their heads without an overhead cover. The opening measures 43.6 × 44.8 cm (width × depth). Before purchasing, check the usable space and entrance height against your cat’s body size and mobility—weight alone does not determine a comfortable fit.

Can I use it in a multi-cat household?

Yes. Create individual cat profiles in the CATLINK App to review each cat’s litter-box records. Identification primarily uses weight, with coat and facial cues providing additional support. Similar-looking cats or cats with similar weights may be confused, so check record assignments and correct them when needed.

Can kittens use Open-X Pro?

For kittens and smaller cats, follow the age, weight and Kitten Mode requirements in the Open-X Pro manual. Keep automatic cleaning disabled unless your cat meets the stated requirements. Only start a manual cleaning cycle when all cats are outside the unit.

What type of litter should I use, and how much should I add?

Use a compatible clumping litter, such as clumping clay or a CATLINK mixed litter specified for the unit. Match the filter and App settings to the litter’s granule size and clumping characteristics, and keep the litter below the MAX line. Do not use non-clumping, crystal or silica-gel litter.

Will an open-top litter box make my home smell?

Open-X Pro combines separate waste collection, a deodoriser and active ozone to help manage odours. Freshness also depends on litter performance, ventilation and regular maintenance. If you notice odours, empty the waste bin and check for residue—even if the bin is not full.

How often should I empty the waste bin?

The 12 L waste bin helps reduce trips to dispose of waste. The actual interval depends on the number of cats, their waste output, the litter used and room conditions. Check it regularly and empty it sooner if waste or odours build up; multi-cat households generally need more frequent emptying.

Will I still need to scoop, refill litter or clean the box?

Open-X Pro automatically separates clumps from compatible clean litter, reducing daily scooping. You still need to refill litter manually, empty the waste bin and clean the washable removable parts. Occasionally check for residue or stuck-on clumps that need extra attention.

What happens if my cat approaches during cleaning?

Approach and weight sensing help detect cats and pause cleaning in the relevant situations. Keep the sensing areas clean and unobstructed, and place the unit on a firm, level floor. Follow the separate operating requirements for kittens and smaller cats.

Do I need a subscription to use the camera?

A cloud subscription is not required for live viewing or event snapshots. Full video playback requires a cloud subscription. Check the CATLINK App for the plans, recording-retention periods and prices available in your region.

Can I hear or talk to my cat through the camera?

You can listen to sound captured by the unit while checking the live view. Audio is one-way, from the device to your phone; you cannot send your voice from your phone to the unit.

Can I wash the whole unit?

No. Disconnect the power before cleaning or disassembly. Wash only the removable parts identified as washable in the manual, and dry them completely before reassembly. Keep the base, camera and electrical components dry.

How can I help my cat get used to it?

Let your cat explore at their own pace and keep their familiar litter box available during the transition. Allow them to become comfortable using Open-X Pro before gradually introducing automatic cleaning. Never force your cat into the unit.

Can I leave my cat unattended while I travel?

No. Automatic cleaning and remote viewing can make daily care easier, but they do not replace in-person checks. Arrange for someone to check your cat, food, water and litter box while you are away. A large waste bin or camera is not a guarantee of unattended operation.

What Wi-Fi network does Open-X Pro support?

Open-X Pro supports both 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz Wi-Fi. Place it where the Wi-Fi signal is stable and follow the pairing instructions in the CATLINK App. Remote viewing requires the unit to stay connected to the internet.
